This walk through German contemporary history starts at the new governmental district. Walking along the Band of Federal Buildings you will meet the Federal Chancellery and the Reichstag, the seat of the Federal Parliament. From there we will visit the Memorial dedicated to the Sinti and Roma. Crossing the ghostly line of the former Berlin Wall we will walk through the Brandenburg Gate and arrive at the Pariser Platz. From there we will reach the Memorial to the Assassinated European Jews and walk through its steles. Afterwards we will continue our walk in the former governamental district located all along the Wilhelmstraße and see where Goebbels, Hitler, Göring and Himmler had their headquarters. Our walking tour will end at the Topography of Terror (permantent exhibition) located on the Niederkirchner Straße a street on the razor edge between dictatorship and democracy.
