Let us take you only 25 km from the centre of Berlin to Potsdam – former residence of the Prussian Kings. We will show you the largest and probably most popular World Heritage Site in Germany – the magnificent Sanssouci Palace and its Park. Rococo style of architecture for Sanssouci was chosen by Frederick the Great – King of Prussia who used the Palace as its summer residence. We will see the whole complex from the outside and then we will focus on another impressive Palace of Cecilienhof built by the Dynasty of Hohenzollern. It became famous after holding the Potsdam Conference in 1945 when leasder of United States, United Kingdom and Soviet Union made some important decisions which affected the shapes of many national borders in Europe after World War 2.
